Final Cut Pro to YouTube Account Name/Password Failure

Ran into a new problem yesterday, if anyone uploads their videos from Apple’s Final Cut Pro to their YouTube account and get a username/password failure it may be triggered by Google’s 2-Step Verification protocol.  After some research, I came across this link:

Shortly after running into this problem with my failed FCP to YouTube upload, I found my Gmail was no longer pulling up through Apple Mail on my iMac or on my iPhone.  For certain apps that don’t have entry fields for this 2-step verification and only a password field, you end up having to generate an app-specific password for them through your Google account.  A bit of headache for sure, especially when you come across this without warning and need to upload a file, check your e-mail, or use any other “app” that is connected through Google.  The fact I coincidentally created a new gmail address while using my old one as the recovery e-mail may have triggered this 2-Step Verification.  Hopefully it adds a considerable amount of security, all it has done so far is create additional headache for me.
