Evaluating Training Programs: The Four Levels (3rd Edition)

If you’re designing and developing a training module, a simple course, or an entire learning and development program, far too often organizations tend to push out the material and fail to evaluate its initial and ongoing success. While the Kirkpatrick 4-Levels of Evaluation were originally developed back in the 1960’s, the core philosophy has remained intact and has gone through some iterations over the decades. Often you will hear Learning and Development speak of “Level 3 evaluation” and so on, the majority of organizations will only achieve a Level 2 evaluation in their materials, but it is in fact the Kirkpatrick 4-Levels in which they are referring too. This book is practically the bible of learning assessment and evaluation, a must have for any instructional designer, trainer, eLearning developer, or learning professional for that matter.
