Long Distance Timelapse with a Cable Cam

This is a long distance timelapse tutorial by Morten Rustad published by Syrp. Morten uses Lightroom, LRTimelapse, and Adobe Premiere for his post-processing. LRTimelapse is the go-to choice for several photographers and videographers who create timelapse videos from still image captures. In this video Morten talks about how he used Google Maps and Earth to scout possible shooting locations, and at the heart of this production are a couple products from Syrp.  The main component being their slingshot system, where you attach a suspended cable system in which a carriage travels across. He is also able to pan in this shot by using a Syrp Genie.  These products aren’t cheap, but do provide very long travel (current kits are advertised as 100 meters or 328 feet).  It is also very portable considering the travel length you can achieve with the rope or cable.  Just imagine trying to use over 300 feet with a more traditional style camera slider.
